Buckeye Baptist Church Leadership

Buckeye Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

James Roy

Pastor

James Roy started Buckeye Baptist Church in November, 2005. Prior to that, he served as Pastor of Royal View Baptist in Gilbert, Arizona. He also started two churches in upstate New York between 1966 and 1981.

The attributes that best describe Pastor Roy are strong preaching, leadership development and experience. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Buckeye Baptist Church where biblical teaching is embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Roy takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending hours in his day focused on prayerful Bible study.

Pastor Roy graduated from Bible College in 1965 and served as an assistant pastor in Dallas, Texas for nearly one year.

Pastor Roy has been happily married for 62 years to his wife, Linda. They have 11 children, 27 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  He also served honorably in the United States Air Force.
